He has served in esteemed roles including Vice Chancellor of MAU, Director of the Central Institute for Cotton Research (ICAR-CICR), Agriculture Commissioner to the Government of India, and Chairman of the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board.

As President of the South Asia Biotechnology Centre and a fellow of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Mayee has been instrumental in advancing biotech innovations and promoting sustainable farming practices across India and globally.
