BLANCO is a selective and post–emergent herbicide containing Clodinafop Propargyl 15% WP belonging to Aryloxyphenoxy propionate group of herbicides.

Features

BLANCO is a selective and post–emergent herbicide.

Its half-life period in the soil is only a few days so there is no effect on the succeeding crops.

BLANCO has good compatibility with other pesticides.

BLANCO stops the synthesis of fatty acids/lipids in the plant essential for the growth, thereby the growth of the weed is stopped within 48 hours.

Yellowing of leaves starts within 7-14 days followed by browning and dry-up.

The complete result of BLANCO can be seen after 14-21 days of application.

Mode of action

BLANCO is an Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (ACCase) Inhibitor. It is absorbed by the leaves and stem of the weed plants and is rapidly translocated within the plants thereby accumulate in the growing parts/meristematic tissues. BLANCO stops the synthesis of fatty acids/lipids in the plant essential for the growth, thereby the growth of the weed is stopped.

Antidote

No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically.
